Paper 1 — Secondary Level (Classes 9–10)

⚠️ Additional Notes & Conditions
- Percentage Requirement: Usually 50% is the minimum in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree (for relevant subject).
- Teacher Education Qualification: B.Ed or its equivalent as prescribed by NCTE is generally mandatory; some integrated teacher education programs or technical degrees plus required professional qualifications may be acceptable.
- Recognition: Degrees / institutions must be recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), NCTE (for regular teacher programs), or RCI (for special education) where applicable.
- Exceptions & Relaxations: There may be specific relaxations or alternate pathways (especially in special education, technical subjects, or in cases of integrated programs). Candidates should refer to the latest official notification for subject-wise nuances.
Bihar STET 2025 Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure
- The selection process consists of only one stage: a written examination.
- No interview or further stage is involved.
- Candidates apply online and appear in their respective paper (Paper 1 or Paper 2).
- Final selection is based entirely on marks obtained in the written exam.
- Qualified candidates are awarded a STET Eligibility Certificate, which is mandatory for applying to government teacher recruitment in Bihar.
