Eligibility Details

• 10th Pass OR ITI (relevant trade) OR National Apprenticeship Certificate from NCVT
• Must be qualified on or before 02.03.2026
• Result waiting candidates not eligible
• Engineering Degree/Diploma not accepted in place of ITI/CCAA
• Graduate Apprentices not accepted instead of CCAA
• Certificates: Result must be declared on or before closing date

RRB Selection Procedure (CEN No. 09/2025)

Stage 1 – Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Mode: Online Objective Test
• Total Questions: 100
• Time: 90 Minutes (120 minutes for PwBD with scribe)
• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer

Subjects:

• General Science – 25 Q
• Mathematics – 25 Q
• General Intelligence & Reasoning – 30 Q
• General Awareness & Current Affairs – 20 Q

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• UR/EWS – 40%
• OBC/SC/ST – 30%

Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Candidates shortlisted 3 times of vacancies from CBT
• Qualifying in nature (No marks)

Male:

• Run: 1000 m in 4 min 15 sec
• Lift & Carry: 35 kg for 100 m in 2 min

Female:

• Run: 1000 m in 5 min 40 sec
• Lift & Carry: 20 kg for 100 m in 2 min

Exempted from PET:

• PwBD candidates
• Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA)

Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV)

• Candidates called in 1:1 ratio to vacancies
• Merit based on CBT marks

Tie-Breaking Rule:

• Higher age gets preference
• If age same → Alphabetical order (A–Z)

Stage 4 – Medical Examination (ME)

• Must pass required Railway Medical Standards
• Vision standards as per post (A-2, A-3, B-1, C-1)
• Medically unfit candidates will be rejected

Final Selection

• Based on CBT merit + PET qualification + DV + Medical Fitness
