Eligibility Details
- Must be a graduate from a recognized university.

Selection Process – Junior Judicial Assistant / Restorer Exam 2026
Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Total Questions: 120
- Subjects:
- English Language & Comprehension – 45 marks
- General Awareness – 45 marks
- Reasoning & Numerical Ability – 30 marks
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks:
- General: 50% (60 marks)
- Reserved Categories: 45% (54 marks)
- Shortlisting: 15 times the number of vacancies for Stage II
- This stage is only qualifying
Stage II – Main (Descriptive) Examination
- Type: English Descriptive Test
- Total Marks: 100
- Includes: Essay, Letter Writing, Grammar and Translation
- Qualifying Marks:
- General: 50 marks
- Reserved: 45 marks
- Shortlisting: 6 times the number of vacancies for Stage III
- Marks of this stage are counted in final merit
Stage III – English Typing Test (Qualifying)
- Typing Speed Required: Minimum 35 words per minute
- Duration: 10 minutes
- Accuracy: Maximum 3% mistakes allowed
- This stage is only qualifying
Stage IV – Interview
- Maximum Marks: 15
- No minimum qualifying marks
- Final stage of selection
Final Merit List
- Based on:
- Main Exam (100 marks) + Interview (15 marks) = 115 marks
- Stage I and Stage III are qualifying only and not counted in final ranking.
