Educational Eligibility

  • Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board as on 21-10-2025.
  • Relaxation: Educational qualification relaxable up to 11th pass for:
    • Sons/daughters of serving, retired, or deceased Delhi Police personnel/MTS.
    • Bandsmen, Buglers, Mounted Constables, Drivers, Dispatch Riders, etc., of Delhi Police.
  • Condition: Relaxation valid only if the parent (Delhi Police staff/MTS) has not been dismissed/removed/terminated.
  • For Male Candidates: Must have a valid LMV (Motorcycle or Car) Driving Licence on the date of PE&MT. Learner Licence not accepted.
  • Must show original certificates/mark sheets during PE&MT / Document Verification.

  • Conducted by: Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
  • Mode: Online (Computer-Based)

  • Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) / Document Verification (DV)

  • Conducted by: Delhi Police (in Delhi)
  • Nature: Qualifying only (no marks added to final merit)
  • Shortlisting: Based on CBE merit list.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Includes Race, Long Jump, and High Jump:

  • Candidates must qualify Race first, then Long Jump, and finally High Jump.
  • Each candidate gets 3 chances for Long Jump and High Jump.
  • No appeal allowed against disqualification.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Only for those who qualify the PET.

  • Male: Height and Chest (with expansion) measured.
  • Female: Height only.
  • Candidates who fail in PMT can appeal on the same day to the Appellate Authority.

Document Verification (DV)

During PE&MT, candidates must produce original documents like:

  • Educational certificates
  • Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
  • Driving Licence (for male candidates)
  • Any relaxation proof (NCC, Hill Area, etc.)

3. Medical Examination

  • Conducted by Government Medical Officers in Delhi.
  • Candidates must be physically fit, free from any defect or disease, and have normal vision (6/12 in both eyes) without glasses or surgery.
  • Color blindness or vision correction is not allowed.
  • Only medically fit candidates are considered for appointment.

Final Selection & Merit List

  • Final Result is prepared by SSC based on marks in the CBE only.
  • PE&MT and Medical Test are qualifying in nature.
  • Separate merit lists are prepared for male and female candidates under each category (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Ex-Servicemen).

Tie-Breaking Rules (if two candidates get same marks):

  1. Marks in Part-A (GK/Current Affairs)
  2. Marks in Part-B (Reasoning)
  3. Date of Birth (older candidate ranked higher)
  4. Alphabetical order of names

Reserve Panel:

  • A 15% reserve list is also prepared and shared with Delhi Police for future use.
