Eligibility Details
Any one of the following qualifications:
- Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).
- Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (as per NCTE 2002 rules).
- Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (D.El.Ed.) (Special Education).
- Graduation (Bachelor’s degree) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must have passed CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) conducted by CBSE.
- Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at Secondary level.
Selection Procedure – Assistant Teacher (Primary) (802/25)
1. Examination Scheme
- Exam Type: One Tier (Technical / Teaching)
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Total Questions: 200 (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 200
- Question Paper Language: Bilingual (Hindi & English), except for language subjects
Exam Structure
Section A – 100 Marks (General Part)
• General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 20 marks
• General Awareness – 20 marks
• Arithmetical & Numerical Ability – 20 marks
• English Language & Comprehension – 20 marks
• Hindi Language & Comprehension – 20 marks
Section B – 100 Marks (Subject Part)
• Based on NCTE curriculum and teaching methodology
2. Marking Scheme and Qualifying Criteria
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks (only for Section B)
• General/EWS: 40%
• OBC (Delhi): 35%
• SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
• Ex-Servicemen: 5% relaxation in their category, but minimum 30% required - No qualifying marks required in Section A
3. Merit List and Selection
- Final merit is based on combined marks of Section A and Section B
- Normalization of marks may be applied if required
- Tie-breaking rules
- Candidate with higher marks in Section B is ranked higher
- If equal, candidate senior in age is ranked higher
- If still equal, candidate whose first name comes earlier alphabetically is ranked higher
4. Post Preference and Allocation
- Candidates must give preference for departments (Directorate of Education and NDMC) at the time of e-dossier submission
- At least one preference is mandatory
- Preferences once submitted are final and cannot be changed
- Allocation is done strictly on merit-cum-preference
5. Document Verification (e-dossier)
- Admission at all stages is provisional
- Candidates must upload required documents during the e-dossier process within the given time
- If not uploaded, candidature is cancelled
- Eligibility and verification of documents will be done by the user departments (Directorate of Education/NDMC)
- If found ineligible, candidature for that post will be cancelled and no change of department/post will be allowed

How to Apply – Step by Step
1. Key Dates and Website
- Apply only through the official website: https://dsssbonline.nic.in
- Application Start Date: 17 September 2025 (from 12:00 Noon)
- Last Date: 16 October 2025 (till 11:59 PM)
- Only online applications are accepted. Applications by post, hand, or email are not allowed.
2. Registration on DSSSB OARS Portal (One-time only)
- New candidates must first register on the DSSSB OARS portal.
- Click on “New Registration” and fill the online form (must be completed within 30 minutes).
- Provide a valid email ID and mobile number (verify by OTP).
- Keep a scanned photo ID (PAN, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport) in jpg/jpeg format (15–60 KB) ready, unless Aadhaar is given.
- Check details carefully before final submission (Name, Gender, Father’s name cannot be changed later).
- After registration, note down the user ID and password for login.
- Multiple registrations will lead to cancellation and debarment.
3. Filling the Online Application
- Log in using your user ID and password.
- Select the post and apply online between 17/09/2025 and 16/10/2025.
- Read the instructions carefully before filling the form.
- Check all details before final submission (no corrections allowed later).
- Upload a clear recent photograph and signature (blurred/unclear uploads will be rejected).
- Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will be cancelled.
- Take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.
4. Application Fee
- Application Fee: ₹100 (One Hundred only).
- Fee Exempted: Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.
- Mode of Payment: Only through SBI e-pay (no other mode accepted).
- Fee once paid will not be refunded.
