Eligibility Details

• Intermediate (12th Pass) from a recognised Board/University
• Certificate in English Shorthand and English Typing from a recognised institution
• Diploma/Certificate of at least 6 months course in Computer Application from a recognised institution
• Minimum speed of 80 words per minute in English Shorthand
• Minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English Typing

Selection Procedure

1. Mode of Selection

• The recruitment process has two stages: Written Test and Interview

2. Examination Scheme & Pattern

The Written Test has three parts: Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C. Candidates must qualify in all three parts to move to the next stage.

Part-A: English Shorthand Computer Typing Test

• Speed: 80 words per minute (for 320 words, duration 4 minutes)
• Revision of Passage: 7 minutes
• Transcription of Passage: 15 minutes
• Maximum Marks: 100
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 85 (85% accuracy)
• Total Duration: 26 minutes
• Marks awarded as per accuracy percentage

Part-B: Objective Type Test (MCQs)

Syllabus Highlights:

• English: Vocabulary, grammar, spotting errors, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spellings, idioms, one-word substitution, sentence improvement, active/passive voice, sentence arrangement
• Computer Awareness: History and fundamentals of computers, abbreviations, hardware and software basics, keyboard shortcuts, operating system basics, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet terms, networking, security tools, and viruses

Part-C: English Typing Test

• Speed: 40 words per minute (for 400 words)
• Maximum Marks: 100
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 90 (90% accuracy)
• Duration: 10 minutes
• Marks awarded as per accuracy percentage

3. Interview

• Maximum Marks: 10

• Compulsory for shortlisted candidates, absence will lead to disqualification

4. Shortlisting & Final Selection

• Candidates shortlisted for interview: 3 times the total vacancies (plus all candidates with equal marks at cut-off)
• Final selection will be based on marks obtained in Written Test and Interview
• Merit list will follow reservation policy

Tie-Breaking:

• Higher marks in Written Test will be preferred
• If still tied, older candidate (by date of birth) will be ranked higher
