Eligibility Details

Option 1:

• I.Sc. (Intermediate Science) with Biology or Mathematics
• Plus a 2-year Diploma in Optometry
• OR 2 years training as an Ophthalmic Assistant in a recognized Government Hospital as per NPCB guidelines

Option 2:

• I.Sc. (Intermediate Science) with Biology or Mathematics
• Plus a 2-year Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant from a Government, Private, or Semi-Government Institute recognized by the Government of Bihar

Salary Details

• Initial Pay: ₹15,000 per month

Selection Procedure – Ophthalmic Assistant

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Total Questions: 100 MCQs (1 mark each, total 100 marks)
• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: None
• Subjects & Marks: Subject Marks Questions General Knowledge 10 10 Knowledge Application / Reasoning 20 20 Numerical Ability 20 20 Technical Ability 50 50
• If exam is held in multiple shifts, results will be normalized.

2. Minimum Qualifying Marks

3. If still equal, higher marks in 10th Board Exam.
