Educational Eligibility – Nursing Officer (NORCET-10)
Option 1: Degree Holder
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from INC/State Nursing Council recognized institute
OR - Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) from recognized institute
- Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council
Option 2: Diploma (GNM) Holder
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from recognized institute
- Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife
- Minimum 2 years experience in a 50-bedded hospital
- Experience must be completed after qualification and registration
Selection Procedure – Nursing Officer (NORCET-10)
Stage I – Preliminary (Qualifying Only)
- Mode: Computer Based Test
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100 MCQs (100 marks)
- 20 – General Knowledge & Aptitude
- 80 – Nursing subjects
- Divided into 5 sections (18 minutes each, cannot revisit)
- Only for shortlisting (marks not counted in final merit)
Qualifying Percentile:
- UR / EWS – 50th percentile
- OBC – 45th percentile
- SC / ST – 40th percentile
- Candidates up to 5 times the total seats are called for Stage II
- All qualified PwBD candidates are eligible for Stage II
Stage II – Main (Final Merit)
- Mode: Computer Based Test
- Duration: 180 minutes
- Total Questions: 160 MCQs (160 marks)
- Based on Nursing competency & case scenario questions
- 4 sections (45 minutes each, cannot revisit)
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR / EWS – 50%
- OBC – 45%
- SC / ST – 40%
- Final merit is prepared only on Stage II marks
Tie-Breaking Rule
If marks are equal:
- Older candidate gets preference
- Candidate with fewer wrong answers gets preference
Seat Allocation & Document Verification
- Qualified candidates fill institute preferences
- Seat allotted based on Stage II rank + choice preference
- Original documents are verified
- Final selection subject to biometric and identity verification

- Application dates: 24 February 2026 to 16 March 2026 (5:00 PM)
- No offline or postal applications accepted
Step-by-Step Process
- Use your One-Time Registration (OTR) ID
(If already registered for AIIMS exam, use the same ID) - Fill the online form carefully
- Upload clear images of:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Thumb impression
- Pay application fee online:
- General / OBC – ₹3000
- SC / ST / EWS – ₹2400
- PwBD – No fee
- Payment mode: Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking
- SC/ST fee will be refunded after result (if appeared in exam)
- Correction window: 25–27 March 2026
