Eligibility Details

  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream or equivalent from a recognized University in India
  • Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 120 w.p.m.
  • Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 w.p.m.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of regular service as Private Secretary / Senior PA / PA / Senior Stenographer in Government, PSU, or Statutory Bodies

Salary Details

  • Starting: ₹67,700 per month
  • Other allowances as per the rules

Selection Procedure

  1. Shorthand (English) Test
    • Speed: 120 w.p.m. for 7 minutes
    • Transcription Time: 45 minutes
    • Maximum mistakes allowed: 5% of total words
    • Marks: 100 (Qualifying – 50)
  2. Objective Type Written Test (100 Questions, 100 Marks)
    • General English – 25 questions
    • General Knowledge – 25 questions
    • Judiciary provisions in the Constitution – 25 questions
    • Supreme Court Rules, 2013 – 15 questions
    • Computer Knowledge – 10 questions
    • Qualifying Marks: 50 (General) / 45 (Reserved)
  3. Typing Speed Test on Computer
    • Speed: Minimum 40 w.p.m.
    • Mistakes allowed: 2% (General) / 3% (Reserved)
    • Duration: 10 minutes
    • Marks: 20 (Qualifying – 10 for General / 5 for Reserved)
  4. Interview
    • Marks: 30 (Qualifying – 15 for General / 13 for Reserved)
  5. Additional Weightage
    • Candidates with a Law Degree (BGL/LLB Academic) will get 3 extra marks.

Shortlisting Criteria

  • Candidates qualifying Shorthand Test + Written Test → called for Typing Test in 1:10 ratio.
  • Candidates qualifying Typing Test → called for Interview in 1:3 ratio.
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on performance in all stages.
  • Placement in the panel does not guarantee appointment.

  • Pay the application/test fee online as per the given instructions.
  • Keep your Application Number safe for downloading admit card and future reference.
  • After submission, take a printout of the application form for your record (no need to send it to the Registry).
