Eligibility Details

• 10+2 (Intermediate) passed from a recognized board
• Must qualify for skill test or typing test

Selection Procedure

Stage 1: Computer Based Examination (CBE)

• Objective-type, multiple-choice exam
• Duration: 2 hours (general), 2 hours 40 minutes (with scribe)

• Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • UR: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • Others: 20%
• Marks may be normalized if exam is held in multiple shifts
• Tentative answer keys will be released for objection

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Skill Test

• Based on marks in the CBE
• Only candidates with stenography skills are shortlisted

Stage 3: Skill Test in Stenography

• One dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted)
• Dictation speed:
  • Grade ‘C’: 100 words per minute
  • Grade ‘D’: 80 words per minute

• Transcription done on computer
• Test is qualifying but mandatory
• Candidates must be ready to work in both English and Hindi as per department need

Stage 4: Final Selection and Post Allocation

• Based on performance in CBE (only for those who qualify skill test)
• Post preferences are taken through an Online Option Form
• Once allotted a higher preference, other options are not considered

Stage 5: Document Verification (DV)

• Conducted after final selection by respective departments
• Required original documents:
  • Educational qualifications
  • Caste/Category certificate
  • Age relaxation proof
  • PwBD/ESM proof (if applicable)
• Invalid or missing documents will lead to cancellation of candidature
