Electronics Mechanic	Passed 10th Class (minimum 50% marks) with Science (Physics & Chemistry) and Mathematics under 10+2 system or equivalent AND ITI in relevant trade AND Certificate from NCVT/SCVT

Important Notes

• 50% minimum marks in 10th not required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• ITI qualification must be available at the time of application.
• Not Eligible: Course Completed Act Apprentices, Engineering Graduates, Diploma Holders, Vocational Certificate holders, or candidates with 1 year+ training/job experience after qualification.

Location Eligibility

Only candidates belonging to the following areas can apply for Southern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025:

1. Whole state of Tamil Nadu
2. Whole Union Territory of Puducherry
3. Whole state of Kerala
4. Whole Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Islands
5. Only two districts of Andhra Pradesh – SPSR Nellore and Chittoor
6. Only one district of Karnataka – Dakshina Kannada

Selection Procedure

• Merit List will be prepared based on marks in academics (10th / 12th / ITI), converted to 200 marks.

1. Fresher Category

• Fitter, Painter, Welder → Merit based on 10th Class marks (minimum 50% required, except SC/ST/PwBD).
• MLT Trades (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology) → Merit based on 12th Class marks (PCB + Maths) (minimum 50%, except SC/ST/PwBD).

2. Ex-ITI Category

• Merit based on both 10th and ITI marks.
• 10th = 100 marks, ITI = 100 marks → Total 200 marks.

Tie-Breaking

• Older candidate gets preference.
• If DOB same → Candidate who passed 10th earlier gets preference.

Other Points

• Railway decision will be final.
• This is only training, not a job guarantee, but 20% posts in Level-1 recruitment are reserved for trained apprentices with NAC certificate.
• Candidates must produce original documents (marksheet, transfer certificate, etc.) at verification.
