Selection Procedure – POWERGRID Common FTE Recruitment 2025
1. Common FTE Written Test 2025
- Registration: Candidates must register and ensure eligibility (incl. 1 year post-qualification experience).
- Mode & Duration: 1-hour Pan-India test (extra time for PwBD).
- Question Pattern:

- Empanelment: 1:5 ratio, tie-breaker → elder candidate.
- Offer of Engagement: As per vacancies & merit.
For Field Supervisor Posts (ID: 489, 490, 491):
- Merit Basis: Written test only.
- Shortlisting: 1:5 ratio, tie-breaker → elder candidate.
- Document Verification: If eligible → Offer of Engagement.
3. General Conditions (Applicable to All)
- Medical Fitness: As per POWERGRID standards.
- Document Verification: Originals required.
- NSR Registration: Within 3 months of joining.
- Police Verification: Must be submitted within 3 months.
- Opportunity for Regular Posts: FTEs with 2 years’ service may apply internally.

POWERGRID Common FTE Recruitment 2025 – How to Apply
1. Online Registration
- Apply only through www.powergrid.in → Careers → Job Opportunities → Executive Positions → Contract Basis (Field Engineer/Field Supervisor).
- Valid Email ID, Alternate Email ID, and Mobile number are mandatory (active for 1 year).
- Only one application per post is allowed. You can edit before the last date, but not after.
- Take a printout of the submitted form. It will be needed at Interview/Document Verification.
2. Documents to Upload (Scanned Copies)
- Photo: Recent passport size, white background, JPG, max 50 KB.
- Signature: Blue/Black ink, JPG, max 50 KB.
- Date of Birth Proof: 10th/ Birth Certificate, PDF, max 3 MB.
- Qualification Proof: All marksheets + degree certificate, combined in one PDF, max 10 MB.
