LIC AE & AAO Selection Procedure 2025

  1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I)
  2. Main Examination (Phase II)
  3. Interview (Phase III)

Phase I – Preliminary Examination

  • Online Objective Test (100 Questions, 70 Marks, 60 Minutes).
  • Negative marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates must qualify in each section & in aggregate.
  • Marks not counted in final merit list (only for shortlisting).

Phase II – Main Examination

  • Tie-breaking: Higher qualification > Senior in age.

Phase IV – Medical Test

  • Shortlisted candidates must pass Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination.
  • Appointment only if found medically fit.

How to Apply for LIC AE & AAO (Specialist) Recruitment 2025

Application Dates

  • Online Registration starts: 16 August 2025

Things to Keep Ready Before Applying

  • Valid email ID and mobile number (must remain active throughout the recruitment).
  • Scanned images of your Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, and Handwritten Declaration in the required format.

Document Guidelines

  • Photograph: Recent colour passport-size photo on a light background, size 20–50 kb. Also, a live photo capture will be required during the form filling.
  • Signature: On white paper with black ink, not in CAPITAL letters, size 10–20 kb.
  • Left Thumb Impression: On white paper with black/blue ink, size 20–50 kb.
  • Handwritten Declaration: Write in English (not in CAPITALS) —
    “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
    Size 50–100 kb. For visually impaired candidates, typed text with thumb impression is allowed.

Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Visit the LIC website www.licindia.in → Go to Careers → Click Recruitment of AE/AAO 2025.
  2. Click on New Registration and enter your Name, Contact details, and Email ID.
  3. Note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password sent via SMS and Email.
  4. Use Save and Next option if you cannot complete the form in one go.
  5. Carefully verify all details before clicking Final Submit. No changes are allowed later.
  6. Upload Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression, and Declaration as per given size and format.
  7. Fill in other required details of the form.
  8. Preview the application, make corrections if needed, and then Final Submit.
  9. Pay the application fee online.
  10. After payment, download and print the e-Receipt and Application Form for future reference.

Application Fees

  • SC / ST / PwBD: ₹85 + GST + Transaction Charges
  • All Others: ₹700 + GST + Transaction Charges
    (Payment can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, IMPS, or Wallets)

Important Notes

  • Ensure eligibility before applying. If found ineligible later, candidature will be cancelled.
  • Keep a printout of the application and fee receipt safely.
  • Do not send hard copy of the form to LIC.
  • At the time of interview, you must produce original documents with self-attested copies.
  • Applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn, and fees are non-refundable.
  • Apply well before the last date to avoid last-minute issues.
