Selection Procedure

| Stage-I | CGCAT (Written Exam) | Online test with 100 MCQs, 2 hours, English medium. Subjects: English, Reasoning, Maths & Science, GK. 4 marks per correct, -1 mark per wrong. |
| Stage-II | Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) | Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (objective, in English) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (in English/Hindi). Only qualifying. Held at selected centers. |
| Stage-III | Final Selection Board (FSB) | Psychological Test, Group Tasks, and Interview at CGSB, Noida (4–5 days). |
| Stage-IV | Medical Examination | Special Medical at Base Hospital, Delhi. Appeal and review options available. |
| Stage-V | Induction | Final merit list based on Stage-I + Stage-III. Training at INA Ezhimala from Jan 2027. |
Note: Biometric/photo/document verification is done at every stage. Final year students must submit proof of passing degree by 31 Oct 2026. Final induction ends on 31 Dec 2026.

How To Apply For Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2025
- Apply online at https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in from 08 July 2025 (4:00 PM) to 23 July 2025 (11:30 PM)
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number (active till 15 Jan 2027)
- Fill the form carefully and upload original scanned documents, not photocopies
- Candidates eligible for both General Duty and Technical branches can apply for both
- Select Option-I and Option-II preferences; first preference is used for Stage-II shortlisting
- Pay ₹300 exam fee online via UPI, card, or net banking (SC/ST candidates are exempted)
- Admit card is issued only after successful fee payment or valid exemption
- Choose 5 exam cities for Stage-I; first city must be within 30 km of your address or the nearest available
- Upload documents in .jpg/.jpeg format, photo/signature: 10–100 KB, other docs: 50–150 KB
- Photo must be recent (after June 2024), with name and date printed on it
- A live facial image will be captured during registration and matched with the uploaded photo
- Documents in languages other than English/Hindi must be uploaded with English translation
- Address in the form must match the address on category/caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
- Final year candidates must upload a certificate-cum-undertaking in the given format if awaiting results
- Only the latest application is accepted in case of multiple submissions; earlier ones are rejected with no fee refund
