Selection Procedure
1. Selection Based on Merit List
- Selection will be purely on merit, prepared banking outlet-wise.
- Merit will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in graduation.
Important Points:
- Candidates must mention the exact percentage (up to two decimal places) in the application form.
- No rounding off of marks is allowed.
- Percentage Calculation: Percentage = (Total marks obtained in all subjects ÷ Total maximum marks of all subjects) × 100
- If marks are given in CGPA/GPA, candidates must convert them into percentage using the official formula provided by their university.
2. Tie-Breaking Criteria
If two candidates have the same graduation percentage, selection will be decided as follows:
- Candidate with higher seniority in service at the Department of Posts (DoP) will be preferred.
- If seniority is also the same, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be selected.
3. Online Test (If Required)
- The Bank reserves the right to conduct an Online Test if necessary.
- However, merit based on graduation marks will remain the main selection method.
4. Application & Posting Rules
- A candidate can apply for only one vacancy.
- Candidates can apply only for one banking outlet; multiple applications are not allowed.
- Candidature will be considered only for the banking outlet chosen by the candidate.
- Selected candidates will be posted at the same outlet for which they applied.
5. Verification & Clearance
Before final engagement, candidates must complete certain verifications:
- Statement of Penalties: Details of any major/minor penalties in the last 5 years.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate: Must be issued by the Divisional/Sub-Divisional Head.
- Candidates are advised to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Department of Posts (DoP) at the time of applying.

- There is a vigilance or disciplinary case pending or any punishment being served.
