GDS Selection Procedure
- Selection is based only on 10th marks
- No written exam, no interview
- Merit List
- Merit list prepared from 10th (SSE) marks
- Percentage calculated up to 4 decimal places
- Grades converted into marks using 9.5 factor
- If marks are same, older candidate gets priority, then category/gender rules apply
- Result Information
- Selection shown on GDS Online Portal
- Alert sent by SMS and Email
- Document Verification
- Physical verification at assigned office
- Must report within 15 days
- Carry original documents + 2 photocopy sets
- Provisional Engagement & Training
- Provisional offer issued after verification
- 3 days basic training
- Joining allowed after formalities
- Final Engagement
- Final joining after certificate & police verification
