Peon (Residential) | • Passed Matric exam from a board/institute recognized by Central or State Government. • One-year full-time diploma in cooking/culinary arts from a recognized institute. • Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in a reputed hotel, restaurant, or government department/undertaking. |
Reader (Legal) | • Passed 10+2 examination with at least 60% marks in English. • LL.B. degree from a recognized university. • Proficiency in computer operation (Word processing & Spreadsheet). |
Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure for Peon (Residential)
1. Practical Test
- A practical test will be conducted to assess cooking/culinary skills.
- The test carries a total of 80 marks.
- Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (i.e., 40 marks) to qualify.
2. Interview
- Candidates who qualify the practical test will be called for an interview.
- The interview carries 20 marks.
- Minimum 10 marks are required to qualify.
3. Final Merit List
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks of the practical test and interview.
4. Shortlisting (if applicable)
- Depending on the number of applications received, the High Court may apply shortlisting criteria at any stage.
Selection Procedure for Reader (Legal)
1. Common Competitive Examination (Total 280 marks)
a. Written Examination (250 marks)
- Comprises three papers:
- English Composition – 50 marks
- Civil Law – 100 marks
(Includes CPC, Limitation Act, Court Fees Act, Stamp Act, High Court Rules Vol-V, Constitutional Law) - Criminal Law – 100 marks
(Includes Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023)
- Each paper will be of 3 hours.
- Civil Law and Criminal Law papers must be attempted in English only.
- Minimum qualifying marks:
- 50% in English paper
- 40% in Civil Law and Criminal Law papers each
b. Preliminary Examination (Optional)
- May be conducted to shortlist candidates for the written exam.
- Objective-type questions based on syllabus, general knowledge, reasoning, and current affairs.
- Screening test only; marks not counted in final merit.
2. Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying only)
- Candidates who qualify the written exam must take this test.
- It includes:
- Word Processing/Typing Test – 10 marks (10 minutes)
- Spreadsheet Test – 10 marks (10 minutes)
- Minimum 40% marks required in each part.
- Marks will not be counted in the final merit list.
3. Viva-Voce (30 marks)
- Candidates who qualify the computer proficiency test will be shortlisted for viva-voce in a 1:3 ratio (category-wise).
- Minimum 35% marks required to qualify.
4. Final Merit
- Based on the aggregate marks of the written examination (250 marks) and viva-voce (30 marks).
- Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in total to be considered qualified.
