Note: Section-A has no minimum qualifying marks. DSSSB may set higher cut-off marks depending on the number of vacancies and candidates.

4. Final Merit Preparation

  • Final merit will be based on the combined marks of Section-A and Section-B.
  • Normalization of marks (if required) will be done using DSSSB’s approved formula.
  • The normalized score will decide the final merit and provisional selection.

5. Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more candidates score the same total marks, the tie will be resolved as follows:

  1. Candidate with higher marks in Section-B (Subject Paper) is ranked higher.
  2. If still tied, older candidate (by age) is ranked higher.
  3. If age is also the same, alphabetical order of the first name (English) will be used.

6. After the Examination

  • Answer Key & Objections: Draft Answer Keys will be uploaded on the DSSSB website. Candidates can submit online objections within the given time. Objections via post/email will not be accepted.
  • E-Dossier Submission: Candidates shortlisted after the exam must upload all required documents in the e-dossier portal within the given timeline. Failure to upload will lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Provisional Selection: Selection is provisional and subject to verification by the User Department. DSSSB only conducts the exam; eligibility verification is done later.
