Key Selection Criteria Details

  1. Selection Weightage (Applicable for Posts with Interview – Group A & B Gazetted):
    • For posts involving both a Computer Based Test (CBT) and an Interview (Posts 01-07, 10), the weightage of marks is 85% for the CBT and 15% for the Interview.
    • The Interview (where applicable) is qualifying in nature.
    • Selection will be based on marks scored in the CBT (Stage-I) and the Interview (Stage-II), taken together.
  2. Qualifying Sections:
    • For Stenographer Grade- ‘D’ (Post Code 22), Patwari (Post Code 23), and Junior Secretariat Assistant (Post Code 24), the marks obtained in the Computer Knowledge section of the CBT examination will not be included in the merit list (it is qualifying in nature).
    • Typing/Skill Tests (Stenographer, JSA) are mandatory but qualifying in nature.
  3. Penalty for Wrong Answers:
    • For each incorrect response in the multiple-choice question section, one-third (1/3) of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
    • No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
  4. Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • The minimum qualifying marks in the competitive examination are: UR: 40%, OBC(NCL): 35%, EWS: 35%, SC: 30%, and ST: 30%. DDA may offer further relaxation to PwBDs and ESM at its discretion.
  5. Tie Resolution:
    • In the event of a tie in scores, merit will be decided by applying the following criteria sequentially until the tie is resolved: Date of birth (older candidate placed higher), followed by Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.
