Head Constable (Radio Operator)	Option 1: 12th pass (PCM) with 60% aggregate from a recognized board. OR Option 2: 10th pass with 2-year ITI in Radio & TV, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation & Computer Software, General Electronics, or Data Entry Operator.
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic)	Option 1: 12th pass (PCM) with 60% aggregate from a recognized board. OR Option 2: 10th pass with 2-year ITI in Radio & TV, General Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation & Computer Software, Electrician, Fitter, IT & Electronics System Maintenance, Communication Equipment Maintenance, Computer Hardware, Network Technician, Mechatronics, or Data Entry Operator.

Selection Procedure – BSF Head Constable (RO & RM) 2025

1. Written Examination (OMR-Based Screening Test)

• Duration: 2 hours
• Total Marks: 200 (100 questions × 2 marks each)
• Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, and General Knowledge
• Negative Marking: –0.25 marks per wrong answer
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • Gen/OBC/EWS: 38%
  • SC/ST: 33%
• Only 20 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the next stage

2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• PMT: Height, chest (for males), and weight as per BSF standards
• PET: Running, long jump, and high jump as per eligibility norms

3. Dictation & Paragraph Reading Test (For HC/RO only)

• Dictation speed and reading skills will be tested for Radio Operator candidates

4. Document Verification

• Original certificates and documents will be checked for eligibility

• Go to the official BSF recruitment website: https://rectt.bsf.gov.in
• Complete One Time Registration (OTR) by entering personal, identity, and contact details
• Verify your mobile number and email ID using the OTP sent during registration
• Fill in details like date of birth, parents’ names, category, and both permanent & correspondence address
• Provide physical standard details and mention if there is any criminal case status
• Enter your educational qualifications and upload scanned copies of certificates (education, caste, income, etc.)
• Upload a passport-size photo and signature in the required size and format
• After OTR, log in and select the post(s) you want to apply for (HC RO / HC RM) in order of preference
• Confirm that you meet the educational eligibility for the selected post(s)
• Upload all required documents clearly and correctly
• Pay the application fee online (₹100 for Gen/OBC/EWS; SC/ST and all female candidates are exempt)
• Keep in mind that CSC centers may charge a service fee if you apply through them
• Review all details carefully before submitting the form
• Save or print the submitted application form for future reference
