Eligibility Details
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Health Engineering, Biotechnology, Planning, or Architecture. OR
- Equivalent degrees like B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg)/B.S in above subjects are also valid. OR
- B.Sc. in Environment & Water Management = Environmental Science, and B.Sc. (Hons) in Biotechnology = B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology.
Selection Process
- Written Exam Only – There will be no interview.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General – 40%
- BC – 36.5%
- EBC – 34%
- SC/ST, Women, PH – 32%
Exam Pattern
- Paper 1: General Studies – 2 Hours | 125 Questions | 100 Marks
- Paper 2: Solid & Liquid Waste Management – 2 Hours | 125 Questions | 100 Marks
- Total: 200 Marks
- Both papers will be objective type.

After Exam
- Document Verification – Candidates must present all original certificates.
- Merit List – Prepared on written exam marks. If marks are equal:
- Older candidate gets preference.
- If DOB is same, order will be based on name (Devanagari alphabetical order).
- No Re-evaluation – Re-checking of written exam is not allowed.

How to Apply For Assistant Public Sanitary & Waste Management Officer 2025
- Apply online only at the official BPSC website: bpsc.bih.nic.in
- Application window: 05 Sep 2025 → 30 Sep 2025
1. One Time Registration (OTR)
- Click New User Registration and complete OTR before applying.
- Mobile number and email are mandatory. You will get a User ID & password on them.
- Make sure OTR details are accurate — wrong information may lead to rejection.
- If you already have OTR from earlier BPSC adverts, do not register again.
2. Digilocker / Meri Pehchan (if required)
- For document submission you may need a Digilocker account and access to Meri Pehchan Portal.
- Create/sign in to Digilocker and link/upload documents as required.
3. Complete Your Profile (after OTR)
- Step 1 — Personal info: name, category (UR/EWS/BC/EBC/SC/ST), DOB, mobile, email — save.
- Step 2 — Address: correspondence & permanent address — save.
- Step 3 — Other info: any extra details asked — save.
- Step 4 — Qualifications: enter degree, university, year, marks/grade for all required qualifications — save.
- Step 5 — Upload photo & signatures:
- Photo size example: Height 250–320 px, Width 150–220 px (follow exact specs on site).
- Upload signature (both Hindi & English) if asked.
4. Apply for the Post
- Go to Apply Now for the Assistant Public Sanitary & Waste Management Officer advertisement.
- Carefully review every field. If something is wrong, correct it before payment.
5. Pay Fees & Submit
- Exam fee: ₹100 (all candidates).
