Eligibility Details

• Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Science from a recognized board.
• Must have a 2-year Diploma in Dental Hygienist from a government-recognized institute (Central/State).
• Must be registered with the Bihar State Dental Council.
• All certificates and mark sheets must be issued on or before 10.11.2025.

Selection Procedure

1. Written Competitive Examination (CBT)

The main part of selection will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Exam Details:

• Total Questions: 100 (Objective/Multiple Choice)
• Total Marks: 100 marks
• Duration: 2 hours
• Language: Hindi and English
• Syllabus: Based on the Diploma in Dental Hygienist level curriculum (published separately on the Commission’s website)
• Negative Marking:
  • +1 mark for each correct answer
  • −0.25 mark for each wrong answer

Normalization:
If the exam is held in multiple shifts, marks will be adjusted through a Normalization process.

Weightage Calculation (75 Marks):
Marks scored in the written exam will be converted into a 75-mark scale.
For example:
If a candidate scores 60%, their written exam marks = 60 × 0.75 = 45 marks.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

Candidates who fail to score the minimum qualifying marks will be disqualified from further stages.

2. Work Experience (25 Marks)

Marks for work experience will be given only for experience as a Dental Hygienist in Bihar Government hospitals/institutions (including Panchayati Raj and Nagar Nikay).

Scoring Method:

• 5 marks for each completed year of service.
• Maximum: 25 marks
• Partial years will be counted proportionally:
  [(Total working days × 5) ÷ 365]
• Experience counted up to 10.10.2025.
• Experience marks (and age relaxation) are given only if the candidate qualifies the written test.
• Certificates must be issued in the prescribed format (Perishisht-1) by competent authorities such as:
  • Civil Surgeon (for district hospitals)
  • Principal/Superintendent (for medical colleges)
  • Director (for specialty hospitals)

3. Document Verification

Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for Document Verification based on the merit list.

Important Points:

• Only original documents uploaded during online application will be accepted.
• All educational, experience, and reservation certificates must be issued on or before 10.11.2025.
• Non-submission of valid documents will lead to rejection of candidature.
