2. Detailed Procedure

Eligibility & GATE Score Consideration

  • Age and other criteria assessed as of 27.09.2025.
  • Only candidates qualified in relevant GATE 2023/2024/2025 papers are considered.
  • Equal weightage given to scores from GATE 2023, 2024, and 2025.
  • Candidates must have applied on the AAI portal within the deadline.

Shortlisting for Application Verification

  • Based on information in the online application form.
  • Schedule and candidate list will be announced on www.aai.aero.
  • Call Letters sent to registered email IDs (check spam folder).

Application Verification (Document Verification)

  • Required:
    • Original certificates + one set of self-attested copies.
    • Proof of identity.
    • “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) for serving Govt./PSU employees.
  • Rejection grounds:
    • Mismatch of details.
    • Missing or late submission of documents.
    • Absence from verification.

Provisional Selection & Merit List

  • Based solely on GATE score of verified, eligible candidates.
  • Tie-breaking order:
    1. Higher GATE score.
    2. Older candidate by date of birth.
    3. Higher marks in qualifying degree.
  • Reserved candidates selected under UR norms counted in UR category.

Offer of Appointment & Further Checks

  • List of selected candidates posted on website; offer letters sent by email.
  • Final selection subject to:
    • Document verification (eligibility, background, caste/disability, etc.).
    • Medical standards (no colour blindness/night blindness for these posts).
    • Candidate bears cost of medical exam.
  • Special Note:
    • Junior Executive (Electronics) must undergo ~6 months training.
    • Must execute a ₹7 lakh Surety Bond to serve for 3 years post-training.
